The song and the scene
"Burning Bridges" is a Drake song from the album ICEMAN, released on May 15, 2026 (the official sound on TikTok). Its video is one handheld take of a packed party in a wood-panelled room under crystal chandeliers.
The moves people copy all come from that take: the host pushes a silver cup up to the camera, swings his hands down, tugs his collar, points at friends around the room and finally puts a flat hand over his eyes and scans the crowd, the "where she at?" look.
How the trend spread
- May 15, 2026: Drake releases "Burning Bridges" on the album ICEMAN. The video is one handheld take of a packed party in a wood-panelled room under crystal chandeliers. (source)
- Late Sep 2026: People start replacing Drake in the video with AI. A Reddit thread on September 30 traces the first versions to Higgsfield's "Genjutsu" video-to-video tool. (source)
- Oct 2026: Searches for "burning bridges ai" climb every week, and TikTok's Burning Bridges AI page passes 1.6 million posts: sitcom characters, athletes, pets and people's own friends at the party. (source)
Who people put in the video
The trend started with characters and celebrities. Popular versions recast the scene with the cast of The Office (example on TikTok), streamers, sports stars and politicians.
As tools got easier, people started putting their own friends in. On this site you can upload your own photo as the host and add up to six friends around you.
Which sound to use
Most viral videos use a 28-second clip of the chorus uploaded by users rather than Drake's official sound. Add "original sound - cazetv" from 0:00 to a 29-second video, or "original sound - ayorick_" from 0:04 to a 15-second cut. Details: the Burning Bridges AI sound.
